  • MPI will assist HR in determining the Lump Sum amount by reviewing the employee and family needs with a full catalogue of potential services and costs to establish the Lump Sum amount.
  • MPI will handle the administration of the Lump Sum and payments to the employee. No more taxing the employee at source.
  • MPI will counsel the employee on services available, and although the employee is free to direct the funds where needed most, they will be consulted on where to allocate the Lump Sum expenditure to maximize on CRA tax Credits. The information on usage of the Lump Sum is to be shared with the company for T4 purposes, so this is consistent with the employee reporting.
  • MPI will collect receipts on behalf of the company so that the company can collect HST input tax credits, estimated at an amount of 5-15% of the Lump Sum expenditures.

This service eliminates employee downtime searching for the right real estate agent; however, is optional, with the employee free to look for their own agent without the cashback reward.
  • Cashback on mortgage financing when using our contracted national virtual mortgage brokerage with rates better than banks. On average, the cashback for mortgages should exceed $500 per employee file. This service is optional, with the employee free to arrange their own mortgage, without the cashback reward, or in the case of current homeowners, port their mortgage.
  • Virtual household goods moving services, where employees can obtain their own quotes online and obtain a 10% discount at the point of sale, when coming thru our affinity program.

Best Of All-Our Fee for the Affinity Lump Sum Program

  • MPI’s fee is $1295 per each Lump Sum Relocation. This fee will likely be less than the HST tax credits the company will receive by having the receipts from all the relocation expenditures. For example, $20,000 in actual service costs could have an additional $2600 in HST, which can be recovered, basically making this a free service for the company.
  • Our fee includes assistance in establishing the lump sum budget with our service catalogue and prices, as well as sharing our knowledge on industry best practices.
